of the First Ural Industrial Biennale of Contemporary Arts

The Biennale's companion intellectual platform / educational program is devoted not only to the problems of understanding the Ural industrial landscape and the various associated historic facts and cultural practices, Soviet and modern, but also to the general problems of contemporary art and of the creative process.

Section “Contemporary art: basic concepts”

Section “The subject of production in art, from the avant-garde to our days: critical aspects in schools of 20th century art and in the works of individual artists”

Section “Labor in the Urals: the life of workers and 'industrial' art”
